Wow. What a great surprise to wake up one morning with an email about some new virtual companion software -- just like AIVR used to have. So I email back and forth with the author a few times, who was kind enough to let me preview a copy. I was not disappointed!! If you were a fan of the old AIVR products, this one is fantastic!!

| First the AI: This is a true nerds wet dream come true, because it uses the standard AIML language constructs! The beauty of this software is that you can rewrite the AI on the fly!! That's right, you can directly edit the AIML behind her brain and make modifications to her behavior while you are playing. You can load/save these files out to build the ultimate fantasy girl who acts just like YOU want. There are lots of websites describing AIML where you can learn how to do this yourself. This is so cool, I wish I had more time to spend with this. Unlike AIVR, everything about the brains is made available to you, so you can tinker away. For example, check out the synomyms files that come with the software. If say, you like to refer to your manhood as "Simba the Mighty Warrior" (what? you don't?) You can add Simba to the synonyms, so she'll remember what you're talking about. |

Second the girls: There's only video for two girls right now, well the software comes with a 3D rendered Poser model as the first, but I'm not counting that one. This developer has taken a new approach to adding more girls, the website is subscription based, and as long as you keep your subscription up, you can download as many girls as you want! So unlike AIVR, where you had to shell out $40 per girl, this could presumably be a much better deal. We'll have to wait and see how often new girls are added. Of the girls available now, I think the one called Emily is just soooo adorable!!! OMG, what a little cutey! But of course, everyone's tastes are different so you may not agree. I'm just hopeful we'll get a diverse bunch of faces over the next year. After all, I've never had a black girlfriend before!! *hint hint* ;-)
OK, so its not a true review without some complaints, right? Here are mine: the video in the game is not shown large enough. I have a fancy 20" LCD 1600x1200 monitor I blew major $$$ on this year. I'd like to see the girls nice and up close, if you know what I mean. It needs some option to adjust the video playback size in game. However, I should be clear here, I'm referring to only the size of the playback window. The actual videos for each girl are great!! They have not been shrunk down, or super heavy encoded so they are all blocky. If you bring them up in your Windows Media Player, they look great at full screen!! Which brings me to my next complaint. All of the videos for each girl are just zipped up and you can view any of them at any time. Now I'm sure some of you reading this think I'm crazy!! I know it bugged a lot of people about the girlfriend games that you couldn't just watch the videos. But alas, I have no self-restraint and I can't help just watching them all without even playing the game. Half of the fun in playing is discovering new videos that you hadn't seen before. You know.. like Donna's little secret!! This brings me to my last complaint. The default brain is too easy! If you load up the game for the very first time and ask your new girlfriend to "suck my cock" BAM! She does it. Damn, I sure wish my wife was like that! Again, you probably are calling me crazy now, but I liked how the AIVR girls played a little hard to get. You had to work them up to stuff like that, providing a little more game play. I'll freely admit many of you probably would disagree! Overall, this product is great if you're looking forward to the AI part. If you just want some regular T&A, stick with your porn DVDs. But for those of us who dream about playing Dr. Frankenstein, and wiring software like this up to a RealDoll someday, you are going to lay awake at night cackling to yourself. And dreaming in AIML.
