UltraVixen Game Review
UltraVixen is an adult anime style game. If you aren't familiar with Japanese adult anime (or hentai as they call it), its the style of animation from old TV shows like SpeedRacer and StarBlazers. Personally, I love the look. UltraVixen is a schoolgirl (another very popular theme in these shows) who is somehow sucked into another dimension by an evil demon. Only by making love to her, can you release her super-climax which has enough psycho-sexual energy to foil the demon's plans. The game has beautifully 3D rendered scenes thoughout. The voice dubbing is kind of silly, but true fans of anime will enjoy it (almost all anime has really bad dubbing) so its actually quite endearing. However, I was a little disappointed with the actual game play. No matter how pretty a game is, you just can't skimp on game play. You work your way through three phases of the game, the first one I found was quite difficult. Partly because you don't quite know what you are doing at first, and the tools available to you are difficult to control. You have to make a lot of quick mouse movements, in just the right directions, or you can't get anywhere. Forget playing this game left-handed, if you know what I mean! The other disappointing part of the first phase, is you have lots of cool tools and things you can do, but to solve the level, you have to just hop back and forth between the two most boring ones. The second level is much better, because the tools are not nearly as picky and you get to use all of them. Sadly, the third level is more like the first than the second. When you finish, there is a small ending sequence, but nothing spectacular. I was disappointed UltraVixen was never overcome by the demon, with every orifice filled with tentacles (before you think I'm totally sick, thats just what happens in 99% of all hentai movies, so I was just expecting to see.) However, if you are an anime/hentai fan you probably want to buy this title, because there is nothing else on the market like it. The visuals are all extremely slick, and the soundtrack is smooth as silk. Another thing that stands out about this game, it has its own website (you can click on the image below) where you can learn all about the game, and even download a version to play!
